Modern stadium LED video display boards are used to broadcast live sporting events, play digital advertising, display scores, and show real-time information for spectators. Integrated systems may include analog clocks for actual time display, along with digital time-in-play and permanent score displays, ensuring clear visibility from all seating areas.
A typical stadium LED scoreboard measures 8 × 6 m or 12 × 6 m, while configurations with optional clocks and auxiliary displays reach 11 × 6 m or 16 × 6 m, including the structural frame.
As standard specifications, outdoor stadium LED displays now require a pixel pitch of 10 mm or finer, while indoor stadium LED screens typically use 3 mm, 4 mm, or 5 mm pixel pitch for higher resolution and closer viewing distances. The control room can be located near the screen or up to 300 meters (900 ft) away using fiber-optic data transmission, ensuring stable and interference-free signal delivery.
In addition to main scoreboards, LED perimeter advertising displays and stadium border LED panels are widely installed around the field of play, replacing traditional static billboards and significantly increasing stadium advertising revenue through dynamic, programmable content.

ELECTRONIC FIELD BANNERS


Electro MEDIA electronic advertising banners are purpose-designed illuminated and animated LED displays for indoor and outdoor stadiums, installed around the field of play as a replacement for static or mechanical rolling banners. These stadium LED perimeter displays dramatically increase advertising revenue while creating a more dynamic and engaging visual environment for spectators inside the venue and for broadcast audiences worldwide. Although the initial investment is higher than traditional signage, the return on investment is fast and highly attractive.
Using the latest LED display technology, these electronic stadium banners deliver improved visual performance with lower energy consumption, higher resolution, and superior image quality, making them an essential component of modern sports venues.
Technology Breakthrough
Because stadium LED perimeter displays traditionally require high power consumption, representing both a financial and technical challenge for many clubs, Electro MEDIA has developed an advanced electronic banner solution that consumes approximately 40% less power than conventional LED displays. This reduction is achieved without compromising resolution, brightness, image clarity, color uniformity, or viewing angles.
Construction and Mechanical Design
The electronic banners are built using rugged metal cabinets with anti-corrosion coating, engineered to withstand impacts during live play. Rubber shock absorbers and protective elements are integrated to ensure player safety and long-term durability.
Each cabinet features adjustable and folding support brackets, integrated carrying handles for two-person handling, and a secure quick-lock fixing system. The units are supplied in flight cases for safe transportation and storage.
Cabinet dimensions are approximately 1 × 1 meter, with a lightweight construction of less than 50 kg per square meter. Rear access doors allow easy maintenance, while soft rubber masks protect the LED pixels from impact by balls and players. A soft rubber top edge further enhances player safety.
The front of the display is fully waterproof (IP65), while the rear is water resistant (IP44) to allow proper ventilation. Data and power connectors are designed for fast and reliable interconnection. The system is suitable for operation in harsh climates, ranging from –10°C to +50°C.
Available pixel pitches include 5 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm, and 10 mm, allowing flexibility based on viewing distance and budget.
